Position Duties: The Washington County Department of Social Services is seeking a full time, grant funded caseworker in the Inter-agency Family Preservation program. The IFP program is to prevent unnecessary out-of-home placements of children identified as at-risk for imminent placement by certain child and family serving agencies in Washington County; to provide stabilization and supportive services to families to facilitate successful reunification from out-of-home placement; to improve child and family well being for participating families through provision of intensive, comprehensive, team-based services that embrace family strength; and to strengthen and expand inter-agency collaboration and partnership. A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate behavioral science, such as: child development, sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, nursing, criminology, juvenile justice, human growth and development, human services, mental health or human resources management that includes at least 30 credit hours in human services or human development.
