SEA_Senior Benefits Analyst
Position Summary
The Senior Benefits Analyst manages all aspects of the benefits function for all of SEA with guidance and support from the Senior Manager, Benefits Center of Excellence (CoE). The focus of this role is to maintain the administration of the existing benefit programs and to assist in the implementation of new programs to ensure competitiveness of our offers as well as create a Great Work Place for SEA employees.
Common Essential Duties & Resp.
Core Benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision/Life FSA & Disability Insurance) & Voluntary Benefits (Critical Illness/Accident/Permanent Life, MetLaw, Auto & Home, Pet Insurance)
Manage day-to-day administration of the health and welfare as well as ancillary benefit programs
oAnswer questions and provide documentation to employees regarding the policies, practices, and procedures relative to the company's benefit programs
oAddress and resolve employee benefit related issues/concern - will include answering emails, working with vendors, and meeting with employees
oPartner with payroll to ensure all deductions are accurate; make corrections when necessary
oPartner with external vendors to develop file feeds to streamline administration
New Hire and Qualify Event Enrollments:
oPresent weekly Benefit Orientation materials to new hires
oHandle all benefit related enrollments, changes, additions, etc. in a timely manner and follow up as necessary
oConduct quarterly audits to ensure data integrity - will include developing audit work flow and building tools to conduct audits
oAddress enrollment system issues, if necessary
Annual Open Enrollment:
oWork with external consultants on all renewals (i.e, rate changes, plan design, financials, etc.)
oPresent annual renewal recommendations to management and secure final approval
oPrepare all materials and communications for open enrollment meetings; facilitate face-to face meetings and webinars (approximately 7-8 meetings prior to OE window)
oAnswer all ongoing questions related to Open Enrollment
oEnsure on-line enrollment tool is updated according to new Plan rates and changes; conduct testing of enrollment tool; ensure all information from Hub is uploaded correctly
oConduct audit of payroll system, enrollment tool and GHR Hub at the close of Open Enrollment - will include developing audit work flow and building tools to conduct audits
oReview eBook to ensure all changes and information are accurate
oReview Partnership Guide to ensure all changes and information are accurate
oUpdate HRIS system with OE information
oEnsure annual compliance notices are generated in a timely manner
oAddress any Open Enrollment system issues, if necessary
Wellness Events/Other Events
oImplement wellness programs/events in an effort to mitigate longer-term cost impacts on benefit programs
oDevelop tools to identify wellness trends and return on investment
oPartner with vendors to coordinate programs/e
Necessary Skills / Attributes
We're seeking candidates with:
* Bachelors degree, advanced degree a plus
* 4+ years of benefits/HR experience
* Strong knowledge of overall benefit plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, etc.
* Strong knowledge of COBRA and LOA (STD, FMLA and other related state and federal regulations)
* Very strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) skills;
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Strong critical thinking skills
* Ability to be creative
