13-90 Physical Therapist OR Occupational Therapist (full-time)

13-90 Physical Therapist OR Occupational Therapist (full-time): Participates as a member of a transdisciplinary team engaged in the global development of the participating infant. Provides physical or occupational therapeutic treatment and follows plans for other physical and educational treatment to developmentally disabled infants accompanied with related training to parents and agency staff. The successful candidate should possess: Thorough knowledge of infant/child development disabilities and the theories, principles, practices and techniques of related therapeutic treatment; thorough knowledge of supportive counseling techniques; good skills in teaching methods relevant to infants/children; ability to maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families, staff and others; ability to communicate well, orally and in writing, and to relate well with infant individuals and their parents. Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Occupational or Physical Therapy and Licensure by the Department of Health Professionals of Virginia; some professional experience with developmentally disabled/delayed infants and their families. Valid Virginia driver's license with acceptable driving record required. Annual salary: Negotiable + benefits.
